Committees - To initiate GuideOn Programs, the Team has divided their time among the following committees.

“Kick Start”

This committee was formed to “kick start” GuideOn’s programs into action. Patricia, Michael, Sharen and Susan came together to support James to develop the organizational structure, create the website and successfully launch the first GuideOn Camps in the summer of 2007.

Camp for Little Heroes and Future Leaders

Although GuideOn is seeking a permanent camp site in the Pacific Northwest, the initial camps during the summer of 2007 will be held at established residential camps in Washington, Idaho and Montana. Each GuideOn camp will be organized around specific developmental age groups, and age-appropriate leadership and outdoor interests.

Fundraising

GuideOn’s fundraising efforts serve both camp program operational needs and the establishment of an endowment fund. The organizational goal of creating an endowment fund is to wisely manage the capital investments of generous donations while providing operational income to support our leadership program. In addition to direct donations to GuideOn, examples of other fundraising efforts include donations of real estate, vehicles, airline miles, or items for auction (in partnership with Ebay’s givingworks and www.missionfish.org).
